LIFE IN THE BIG CITY RECORDS releases this new single by PINT SHOT RIOT on 24th May, which has been mixed by BARNY BARNICOTT (Kasabian, Temper Trap, Arctic Monkeys) and produced by Peter Miles (The King Blues) it’s taken from the band’s debut album due for release this summer. It was recorded in 2009 at Peter’s residential studio in Holne Bridge, Ashburton, Devon.
‘NOTHING FROM YOU’ is a first for PSR as it comes with a remix! This has been done by REDANKA who in the past has remixed Snow Patrol and U2 etc.
The band have gradually been becoming known worldwide due to their previous single NOT THINKING STRAIGHT being featured on FIFA 10 and on NEED FOR SPEED NITRO both games selling millions around the world.
Another song ‘TREACLE TOWN’ also got used on a trailer for the game
ARMY OF TWO which again has been watched by hundreds of thousands.
All this is on top of the band already been featured in the game FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 4 where RICKY HATTON comes onto their first ever single ‘Punches Kicks Trenches & Swords’ which also gets a run out on the juke box in THE SIMS 3.
Live wise the band have been busy headlining and selling out the 1,000 capacity Kasbah club in Coventry as well as supporting the likes of Band Of Skulls, Athlete, We Are Scientists, The Twang, Cage The Elephant, Glasvegas and The Enemy.
Lead singer Rocket has also acoustically supported Pete Doherty when he came to Coventry for one of his solo shows.
You can also grab a free download of another album track ‘SIX YEARS, THREE WEEKS’ from the bands website www.pintshotriot.co.uk. All this being part of the plan to get as many songs out there ahead of the album release early in 2010.
