| LIFE IN THE BIG CITY RECORDS has taken the unusual step of releasing two singles by PINT SHOT RIOT on the same day! Both produced by Peter Miles (The King Blues) and taken from the band’s debut album recorded earlier this year at his residential studio in Holne Bridge, Ashburton, Devon.
‘COME BACK TO ME’ was the intended first single, then EA Games, makers of one of the biggest computer games in the world, FIFA 10, called up and asked for ‘NOT THINKING STRAIGHT’ to be featured within it and is due for release this autumn.
So it made sense to release both songs!
You can also grab a free download of another album track ‘SIX YEARS, THREE WEEKS’ from the bands website www.pintshotriot.co.uk. All this being part of the plan to get as many songs out there ahead of the album release early in 2010.
The band have already been featured in computer games with their first ever single ‘Punches Kicks Trenches & Swords’ being in SIMS 3 and being used as Ricky Hatton’s entry music in FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 4.
Live wise the band have been busy headlining and selling out the 1,000 capacity Kasbah club in Coventry as well as supporting the likes of Athlete, We Are Scientists, The Twang, Cage The Elephant, Glasvegas and The Enemy.
Lead singer Rocket has also acoustically supported Pete Doherty when he came to Coventry for one of his solo shows.
Evidence of the crowd reactions at their gigs are available on youtube here along with their videos: http://uk.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=LITBC
