| The Law release their new single ‘Don’t Stop, Believe’ on July 20th through Local Boy Records (distributed by Absolute/Universal). The four piece band hail from Dundee and have toured with fellow Dundonians The View on numerous occasions, in fact The View’s Kyle Falconer was quoted as saying that The Law are “The Best Band in Britain” in a recent NME magazine feature.
The single was produced by Stan Kybert (Oasis/Paul Weller) and is taken from their debut album ‘A Measure of Wealth’, which will be released in September. The band moniker originates from a well known location in Dundee, a dormant volcano known as the Law, plus their love of The Clash, especially the classic single “I Fought the Law”. The logo for the band was created by John Pasche who is known for designing one of the most iconic band logos in rock history - The Rolling Stones tongue and lips.
Both single and album were recorded and mixed at Sawmills Studios in Cornwall (the birthplace of Oasis’ Definitely Maybe). What has artistically emerged is that these guys have a refined talent for writing swaggeringly confident tunes with sing-along choruses, classy guitar licks and sublime melodies which get right under the skin.
The Law will shortly be announcing tour dates and festival appearances to support the release of the single and forthcoming album.
