Ghost in the machine ; Introducing Caspa
06/05/2009
Unrelenting pioneer of dubstep, Everybody’s Talking, Nobody’s Listening stretches CASPA’s limits further than ever before and is out now... The "dopest ghost in town" is on his way and he is going to help you get mash-up.

CASPA advises you to "hold tight rude boy" in 'The Terminator', and it is good advice. Everybody’s Talking, Nobody’s Listening swings you along through the deepest dubstep jungle like a demented gorilla in search of a thumping bassline. Heartbeat pulsing and rhythms switching and fluxing like a monster ready to consume your brain cells, this beast of an album refuses to be tamed.

Resembling a classical composer, CASPA knows how to perfect structure, not just through one phrase but the album as a whole. He pushes and pulls you in multiple directions and yet the album feels amazingly organic for being so exactingly constructed.

Aggressive party pushing tunes force your whole body into convulsions of movement and will have any crowd screaming for more. Like a factory gasping for air, constantly in a state of suspension, these tracks will push any sound system to breaking point. Fat rhymes bust through even bigger beats. 'Rat-A-Tat-Tat' takes the best of urban and dance and fits them together with precision. Guns are the subject but it is the bullet holes that the bass leaves in your eardrums that you’ll need to worry about. Just when you feel that you can’t take anymore, CASPA sneaks in with the comedown chillout tunes for the club night after-parties. Whether it is the trance-like 'Back To '93' or 'Lon-Don City' featuring the undeniable vocal talents of Uncle Sam, these are the tracks that take the edge off and allow you to breathe before diving back into the heady sea of dubstep bass.

Here’s one London boy who knows where he comes from and is not planning to forget in a hurry. With this album CASPA has drawn up a treasure map, hiding musical jewels for you to discover. Sometimes it takes a bit of digging, but is definitely worth the rewards.
